Friends.....The great "falling away" won't be an event, it will happen in a slow decline as you choose every little distraction over time spent with God; as you find something else to do on your weekends, replacing church with leisure, play time, or work. You may legitimize or defend your position, but in time you won't need to because you will be out of community with anyone who will hold you accountable. Your good intentions of keeping the faith on your own will turn into postponements and eventually a lack of care or desire. Luke warm turns to cold without a flame. Where do you find yourself in this journey? It takes more strength to rise than it does to fall, so know that a journey toward God will take effort. You won't fall into Heaven. Stay connected. You will need the strength of your believing friends and family in this tough world. We are supposed to be together to help each other. Don't fall away.
